Wushiland Boba has landed from Taiwan
Taiwan is known for a lot of stuff: A big tower, stinky tofu, beautiful art movies with understated acting and unhurried shots. But boba might be its number-one footprint in the SGV.
Wushiland is a fairly new entry located in San Gabriel Square. You can probably shoot a boba ball through a straw from its entry and hit a table full of vapers across the plaza outside Boba Ave 8090. There’s a lot of competition out there, near and far, but this Taiwanese export is not only unafraid but willing to charge a lot of dough.
A classic boba milk tea is four bucks and a fresh waffle is ten bucks, but wait there’s more. The latter can come with caramel apple–basically a fancy version of apple pie! How could we resist? It turns out you get a two-dollar discount for buying a combo. Maybe they should mention that on the menu? Maybe I’m just cute?
Although the logo is a flying fish, this ain’t a cheapo slug-your-boba or take-it-on-the-road place. Sit down, take your time, and get your money’s worth by sipping the high-end boba and eating your tasty waffle with a fork and knife.
